About Ethan Bortniker, MD
Ethan Bortniker, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist who treats digestive diseases and liver conditions.
As an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, he also trains residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
Dr. Bortniker completed fellowship training in gastroenterology at University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where he was also an assistant professor. He did his residency in internal medicine at Boston University School of Medicine and earned his medical degree there as well. He is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
His recent speaking topics include colon cancer prevention and medical hypnotherapy to treat gastroenterological conditions. Dr. Bortniker is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association.
