Stephanie Kleiner, MSN, FNP-BC

Stephanie Kleiner, MSN, is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) who provides comprehensive care for people of all ages. She develops patient-focused plans of care including interpreting diagnostics, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, health maintenance screening and patient education.

As part of Express Care at UC San Diego Health, Ms. Kleiner provides routine checkups and care for conditions that include minor illnesses and injuries, respiratory illnesses, colds and flu, fever, headache and pain. She cares for people who have allergies, asthma, ear infections, sore throat/strep throat, sinus infections, sprains/strains and nausea. Ms. Kleiner is also able to offer certain immunizations and perform sports physicals.

Previously, she was a nurse practitioner in the emergency department at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa. She was also a registered nurse in the emergency department at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla for over eight years.

Ms. Kleiner completed a master's degree in nursing from California State University, Long Beach and a bachelor's degree from University of Delaware in Newark, Del.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. Ms. Kleiner also enjoys being active outdoors, going to the beach, hiking, kayaking, running, yoga, good food and travel.
