Suzanne Riego, MSN, FNP-BC

Suzanne Riego, MSN, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) who provides comprehensive gynecological care for women of all ages. She offers well-woman exams, birth control counseling and management, prenatal and postpartum care, menopause treatment, and treatment for gynecologic problems including infections.

Before joining UC San Diego Health, Ms. Riego provided obstetric and gynecologic care as a nurse practitioner in private practice, served as a clinician for Planned Parenthood, and provided in-patient care for women at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital in San Diego.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree at University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science and completed her bachelor's degree at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Mass. Ms. Riego is a board certified family nurse practitioner.

She is a member of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health.

Outside of work, Ms. Riego enjoys spending time with her husband and son, walking with her dog, and exploring San Diego's food scene.
