
About Alan Ali Moazzam, MD
Alan Moazzam, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Moazzam is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. He does not see patients at outpatient clinics and is not available for appointments.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Moazzam was a hospitalist at Huntington Memorial Hospital, in Pasadena, Calif.
Dr. Moazzam completed his residency in internal medicine at USC Los Angeles County Hospital. He earned his medical degree at Saint Louis University, in St. Louis, Miss.
Dr. Moazzam is a member of the American College of Physicians and of the Society of Hospital Medicine. His interests include physician cognitive performance during night shift work.
In his free time, Dr. Moazzam enjoys surfing, traveling and boxing. He speaks English, Spanish and Farsi fluently.
