
About Arkady Komsoukaniants, MD
Arkady Komsoukaniants, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Komsoukaniants is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. He does not see patients at outpatient clinics and is not available for appointments.
As an assistant professor of medicine, Dr. Komsoukaniants is involved in training medical students and residents in hospital medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine through lectures, interactive teaching sessions and direct patient care. Additionally, he works with residents on quality improvement projects focusing on reducing waste and improving outcomes.
Dr. Komsoukaniants completed his internal medicine residency at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas.
Outside of work, he enjoys literature, origami, video games, hiking and fitness.
