About Tara Kelly, DNP, ANP-BC, ONP-C
Tara Kelly, DNP, is a certified adult (ANP-BC) and orthopedic (ONP-C) nurse practitioner who provides outpatient care for adults with chronic or acute general orthopedic conditions. She works with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that fulfill their physical activity and lifestyle goals.
As clinical faculty at University of San Diego, Dr. Kelly trains nursing students at the Hahn Graduate School of Nursing. Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, she was a nurse practitioner at University of Maryland Medical Center and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
Dr. Kelly earned her doctorate degree in nursing from University of Maryland School of Nursing in Baltimore. She completed a master of science in nursing from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Mass. and a bachelor's degree in biology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass.
Dr. Kelly is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the California Association for Nurse Practitioners and the San Diego Orthopaedic Society. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, backpacking, yoga, cooking and baking.
