Timothy Corbin, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who provides primary care for adults, including preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. He treats adults through the concierge medicine program at UC San Diego Health. Concierge medicine is a primary care option that requires an annual fee and offers enhanced services, extended amenities and 24/7 access.
Dr. Corbin advocates for personalized, patient-centered care and believes true patient health should focus not only on the physical needs of patients, but also as it relates to social, emotional and spiritual well-being. He has repeatedly been recognized as a top doctor in San Diego Magazine's "Physicians of Exceptional Excellence" annual survey performed in collaboration with the San Diego County Medical Society. Dr. Corbin has been appointed to many hospital committees, including chair of the ethics committee. He has also spent his career teaching and lecturing within the community and to health care providers.
Dr. Corbin completed his residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego where he served a year as chief medical resident. He earned his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Corbin enjoys spending time with his family, friends and with his Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He enjoys an active lifestyle, particularly outdoor activities. You may find him skiing in Montana, or paddle surfing here locally.
