About Leslie Powell, MS, NP-C
Leslie Powell, NP, is a certified nurse practitioner who provides cares for adult patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders using a multidisciplinary and supportive care approach.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, she cared for patients as a nurse practitioner at Hoag Hospital's Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute in Newport Beach, Calif. In addition to her extensive experience in nursing, Ms. Powell has been active in research and held leadership roles in clinical research at University of North Carolina School of Medicine and University of North Carolina Healthcare.
Ms. Powell completed post-graduate studies in adult-gerontology nursing at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She completed her master's degree in nursing at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and her bachelor's degree at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill.
Ms. Powell is a certified nurse practitioner in adult-gerontology and pediatrics. She is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, trail running the hills of San Clemente and CSUN baseball.
