About Jenaya Calderilla, DO
Jenaya Calderilla, DO, is a board-certified physician providing primary care through Perlman Clinic, an independent practice with clinic offices throughout San Diego. She is a member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Calderilla provides preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and injuries for people of all ages. She has a diverse healthcare background in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, complex wound care and outpatient primary care. Dr. Calderilla is passionate about shared decision-making and strives to ensure that every patient leaves the office feeling educated and empowered. She is also very active on social media providing health education and patient advocacy resources to the public.
Dr. Calderilla completed her residency in family medicine at Chino Valley Medical Center and earned her medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is board certified in family medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Calderilla maintains an active and healthy lifestyle with her husband and their five pets. She enjoys cooking from scratch, gardening, strength and conditioning, martial arts and spending time at the beach.
