About Victoria Wheaton-Young, FNP  

Victoria Wheaton-Young, FNP, is a certified family nurse practitioner providing primary care through the Imperial Valley Family Care Medical Group. She is a member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network.  

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.  

As a family nurse practitioner, Ms. Wheaton-Young provides primary care to people of all ages. This includes preventive care and diagnosing and treating chronic, complex multisystem disease processes and acute conditions for a multiculturally-diverse population. Before joining Imperial Valley Family Care Medical Group, Ms. Wheaton-Young was associated with Alliance Health Clinic in San Diego, where she performed in-depth practice services for the Child Health and Disability Prevention program, providing well-child care and well-women exams and health maintenance. Her focus is on health promotion, risk reduction and patient education.

Ms. Wheaton-Young earned her master's degree in nursing from University of San Diego. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and fluent in Spanish.
