Laila Jones, FNP-C

Laila Jones, FNP-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner providing care through Perlman Clinic, an independent practice with clinic offices throughout San Diego. She is a member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network. 

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region. 

As a family nurse practitioner, Ms. Jones takes care of the primary and urgent care needs of people of all ages. After graduating from nursing school, she spent several years as an intensive care unit nurse. In the inpatient setting, she saw many exacerbations of chronic health conditions and felt a calling to the outpatient setting to focus on preventative care and chronic illness management.

Ms. Jones earned her master's degree in family nurse practitioner from Yale University School of Nursing and her bachelor's degree in nursing from California State University, San Marcos. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Ms. Jones speaks French and Farsi, and she is proficient in Spanish.

Outside of work, Ms. Jones provides mentorship to incoming Yale University nurse practitioner students and enjoys activities with the United States Army Family Readiness Group. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
